Lake Antorno is a small body of water at the foot of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, less touristy than other famous lakes such as Braies or Carezza, and for this very reason perfect for an intimate and private moment.

📍 Where it is: A few minutes from Misurina, along the road to the Auronzo Refuge
🌄 Best time: At dawn or during the golden hour (1–2 hours before sunset)

How to Plan a Perfect Proposal in the Dolomites – Tips for the Groom

✅ 1. Position yourself in profile

When proposing, don’t face your partner completely. Positioning yourself in profile will allow you to take incredible shots with your expressions and the ring in the same frame.

✅ 2. Choose the right moment

In the mountains, the light changes very quickly. Golden hour is ideal for warm colors and romantic tones.
If you prefer sunrise, arrive at least 30 minutes before sunrise.

✅ 3. Check the weather precisely

The Dolomites can be unpredictable. The best website to check the forecast for South Tyrol is:

Be prepared to change your schedule or consider an alternative in case of bad weather.

✅ 4. Trust a local photographer

A photographer who knows the place can take discreet shots, help you choose the best angle, and coordinate everything without revealing anything.
