When documenting their wedding, I wanted to give space above all to what was genuinely happening around me.

I am not interested in turning such a personal day into a sequence of staged photographs. I prefer to observe, anticipate what is about to happen, and step in only when necessary.

The result is a story that combines documentary wedding photography, couple portraits, and more creative images, while always preserving the authenticity of the day.

There is no need to travel far.

Just a few minutes away from the mountain hut, you can find yourself completely surrounded by meadows and the spectacular peaks of the Dolomites.

My approach during this part of the day is very simple: minimal direction and plenty of freedom.

I want couples to recognize themselves in their photographs even many years later, without feeling as though they are looking at something that was created exclusively for the camera.

Photographing in the Dolomites means working with conditions that can change very quickly.

The sun can disappear behind a mountain, clouds can completely transform the atmosphere and, within just a few minutes, the same location can take on an entirely different character.

For me, this is not a limitation.

It is actually one of the things I love most about mountain wedding photography.

During Federica and Davide’s wedding, I used these changing conditions to create different kinds of images: some brighter and more natural, others more intimate, dramatic, and cinematic.

The reception is often where some of my favorite photographs are created.

These are photographs that cannot be planned, yet they become incredibly meaningful when, years later, you look back at the story of your wedding day.

For this reason, during the reception I try to be present without becoming part of the scene, allowing the people and the interactions between them to create the photographs naturally.
